About CGPA Global

Helping Students Understand Their Grades Across the World

CGPA Global was created with one simple goal: to make academic grade conversion easier, clearer, and more trustworthy for students worldwide. Whether you're converting CGPA to percentage, comparing GPA systems between countries, preparing a university application, or applying for scholarships, we believe every student deserves access to accurate educational information—completely free.

Why CGPA Global Exists

Every year, millions of students prepare applications for universities, scholarships, internships, graduate programmes, and jobs around the world. Somewhere during that process, many encounter the same confusing question:

"What is your GPA or percentage equivalent?"

It sounds like a straightforward question—until you discover that every country, university, and grading system seems to have its own rules. A 4.5 CGPA in one country may not be interpreted the same way elsewhere. Some universities require percentage equivalents, while others ask for GPA conversions. Many students spend hours trying to figure out which formula is actually correct.

That confusion became very personal for me.

The Story Behind CGPA Global

My name is Borni Franklin, and CGPA Global began because of my younger brother.

A few years ago, he decided to pursue a Master's degree in the United Kingdom. Like many students preparing to study abroad, he had excellent academic results, but one unexpected challenge kept appearing throughout the application process.

Different universities, scholarship forms, and admission portals asked him to provide his grades in different formats. Some wanted CGPA. Others requested GPA. Some required percentage. A few asked for degree classifications or international equivalents.

Naturally, we assumed the internet would have the answers. After all, thousands of websites claimed to explain CGPA conversion.

But the deeper we researched, the more confusing everything became.

One website recommended a particular formula, while another completely disagreed. Some calculators displayed percentages without explaining which university formula they were using. Others copied information from different sources without mentioning whether it was official, outdated, or even applicable to the student's institution.

In several cases, we discovered articles that confidently presented information which simply wasn't true. Some ignored university-specific grading policies entirely. Others assumed one conversion formula worked for every institution, even though many universities publish their own official methods.

Despite all of that confusion, my brother successfully completed his applications and eventually travelled to the United Kingdom to continue his studies.

After settling into university life, we spoke several times about his admission experience. One conversation stood out.

He explained that many of the assumptions we had made while researching online simply didn't reflect how universities actually evaluated international qualifications. Some information had been oversimplified. Some was incomplete. And some was completely inaccurate.

That conversation changed the way I looked at educational information on the internet.

I realised students weren't struggling because they lacked motivation—they were struggling because reliable information was scattered across dozens of websites, buried inside university documents, or explained in language that was difficult for ordinary students to understand.

As a web developer, I felt I could build something better.

What started as a simple CGPA conversion tool gradually grew into something much larger. Instead of creating another calculator, I wanted to build a platform where students could not only convert their grades but also understand why different universities use different formulas, how grading systems compare internationally, and how those grades affect scholarships, admissions, and employment opportunities.

Today, CGPA Global continues to grow with that same purpose: helping students make informed academic decisions using educational content that prioritises clarity, transparency, and careful research.

Our Editorial Standards

Education is one of the most important investments a person will ever make. Students often rely on online information when deciding where to study, how to convert their grades, or which scholarship opportunities to pursue. Because of that, we believe educational publishing carries a responsibility to be accurate, transparent, and honest.

Before publishing an article or updating a calculator, we research the subject carefully. Whenever possible, we compare information from multiple reliable sources instead of relying on a single publication. If an official university document or government education authority provides guidance, we prioritise that information over third-party websites.

Academic regulations evolve over time. Universities revise grading systems, scholarship requirements change, and admission policies are updated. For that reason, we regularly review existing content and revise it whenever important changes occur.

Whenever possible, our information is verified using:

  • Official university websites and academic regulations
  • Government education ministries and agencies
  • National examination authorities
  • Recognised scholarship providers
  • Published university admission policies
  • Official grading and transcript guidelines

Our Editorial Principles

Every piece of content published on CGPA Global is guided by a set of principles that help us maintain consistency and trust with our readers.

Accuracy

We prioritise factual information and official documentation over assumptions, opinions, or unverified claims.

Transparency

When different universities use different grading formulas, we explain those differences instead of pretending one answer fits every situation.

Independence

We do not publish paid rankings or sell favourable educational recommendations. Editorial decisions remain independent.

Accessibility

Academic information shouldn't require expert knowledge. We explain complicated topics using clear, practical language.

Why Trust CGPA Global?

Trust is earned over time through consistency, honesty, and quality. We know students depend on the information they find here to make important educational decisions. That responsibility influences every article and calculator we publish.

Our Commitment What It Means For You

Research-Based Information Content reviewed using official educational resources whenever available.
Regular Updates Articles are reviewed when grading systems or admission policies change.
Student-Focused Writing We explain complex concepts in clear, everyday English.
Free Access Our educational content and calculators remain freely accessible.

Our Educational Philosophy

We believe education becomes more accessible when information is understandable. Students should not have to spend hours comparing contradictory articles just to convert a CGPA or understand how a university evaluates international grades.

Every guide published on CGPA Global is written with a simple question in mind:

"If I were a student searching for this answer today, what explanation would genuinely help me understand it?"

That philosophy influences everything we build—from calculators and comparison tables to scholarship guides and study abroad resources. Our goal isn't simply to provide answers, but to help students understand the reasoning behind those answers so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

Our Accuracy Promise

At CGPA Global, we understand that the information we publish can influence important educational decisions. Students rely on grade conversions when applying for university admissions, scholarships, graduate programmes, internships, professional licensing, and employment opportunities. Because of that, accuracy is not simply a goal—it is one of our core responsibilities.

We recognise that educational policies change over time. Universities revise grading systems, governments update admission requirements, scholarship providers modify eligibility criteria, and international qualification frameworks evolve. Instead of assuming information remains valid forever, we make a continuous effort to review and update our content whenever significant changes become available.

While we work hard to ensure every article and calculator is as accurate as possible, we also believe in being transparent about the limits of educational publishing. Some universities publish multiple grading regulations for different academic sessions, while others leave room for interpretation. In those situations, we explain the differences clearly rather than presenting uncertain information as absolute fact.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

  • We research every article before publication.
  • Whenever possible, we reference official university websites, education authorities, and recognised institutions.
  • We clearly identify when grading systems differ between universities or countries.
  • We regularly review existing content for outdated information.
  • We correct verified factual errors as quickly as reasonably possible.
  • We never intentionally publish misleading academic information.

Built for Students

Every calculator, educational guide, comparison table, scholarship article, and study abroad resource on CGPA Global exists because someone, somewhere, was asking the same question we once asked ourselves.

"How do I convert my grades correctly?"

We know how confusing that journey can feel because we've experienced it ourselves. That's why our mission extends beyond building calculators—we want to create educational resources that help students understand the reasoning behind grading systems, university admissions, scholarships, and international education.

Whether you're preparing your first university application, planning postgraduate studies abroad, comparing international qualifications, or simply trying to understand your GPA, we hope CGPA Global helps make that journey a little clearer.

Thank you for being part of the CGPA Global community.
